Privacy Policy

CleanKeys collects only the information needed to provide trials, process purchases, issue licences, prevent misuse, and provide support.

Information we process

• A randomly generated device identifier, trial dates, licence status, and activation records.
• Purchase information supplied through Stripe, such as your email address, transaction identifiers, payment status, and receipt details. CleanKeys does not receive or store your full card number.
• Technical request information ordinarily processed by our hosting and security providers, such as IP address and request metadata.

How information is used

We use this information to operate the trial, issue and validate licences, limit activations, fulfil purchases, prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, and comply with legal obligations.

Service providers

Stripe processes payments and related transaction data under its own privacy terms. Cloudflare provides website, API, security, database, and inbound email-routing infrastructure. Resend provides transactional and support email delivery. These providers process information as necessary to deliver their services.

Retention and your rights

Purchase and licence records are retained while needed to provide your permanent licence, meet accounting and legal requirements, resolve disputes, and prevent fraud. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information. Mandatory legal and transaction records may need to be retained.

Local permissions

CleanKeys requests macOS Accessibility access solely to block keyboard input while cleaning. The app does not use this permission to read the content you type.
